Banana Speaker Cable
September 27th, 2010i have a monster cable for my surround speaker with banana plug but it is 20 feets and it is too short?
Q: for my speaker which is 40 feets away from my av receiver so is there a connector that connect 2 cables with 2 banana ends and where can i get it
A: Any 16 gauge or better wire will work fine, I would recommend 16 or 14 gauge, 12 gauge is probably overkill for surround speakers.

You can also get good quality 14 gauge black wire at any home improvement store, it’s very inexpensive, normally used for low-voltage outside lighting.
