Which wire is positive/negative?
Q: I just bought a package of speaker wire, and it has two wires in clear insulation. One wire is a copper color and the other is silver colored. It says on the box that the positive is indicated by a stripe on the insulation, but there isn’t a stripe and they are both clear.
A: the copper color is ( + ) and the silver is ( – )..this is standard..u may usually find tht wire comes in two color( black or red ) but copper and silver wire normally used on high ampere(current) devices bcause this wire give low resistance..so tht the wire will never get hot or burn if high current flowing in it
