Computer Networking Wiring Question?

Q: For simplification, assume there is an office with 10 computers. The office has cat 5e drops to each workstation. Then for each workstation, the computers are connected with a single patch cat 5e cable.

Ok, my question is regarding where all the cat 5e drops feed into. What is the name of the device that lets you splice and punch down the 4 twisted pairs for each drop all into one panel. Then from that panel you can run a short patch cat 5e cable into the switch for each workstation.

A: The device is called a punchdown tool, and the patch panel is what you punch it down to.
Cables to go or even lowes and home depot carry them. The Panel goto greybar.
