July 30th, 2010What cable should I Get for M-Audio Studiophile BX5a Deluxe monitors to hook into dj mixer?
Q: Just using these for my bed room to practice sets.
Im Gettin a Rane Mixer and the speakers don’t come with cables. They accept standard XLR (3 pin) male plugs or standard 1/4 inch patch chord . So what cable do I need to hook these in the mixer
Well I need 2 of them rite ?
Could you specify which one under the gold cus I couldn’t find the cable I need it to be RCA on the other side
A: The BX5′s take either XLR or balanced 1/4″ connections, either one will work just as well as the other (they’re the same cable, just with different connectors). Just make sure that you’re using a BALANCED 1/4″ cable. The connector should have TWO colored rings on it, not just one (that’s an unbalanced instrument cable).
I recommend the Mogami Gold Series. They’re a little more expensive, but they have a lifetime guarantee and the sound quality is superb. I don’t use anything else.
