New advancements in micro electronics means that not only can a wireless microphone be purchased in the classic hand held configuration but they are also available small enough to be clipped on the inside of a shirt completely out of sight for a completely natural effect when giving a presentation.
Two important things to look for in a cordless or wireless microphone system are distance limitations and battery life span. All wireless microphones will have a maximum distance that they will operate in away from their receiver and battery life is just as important because unlike other electrical components that you can use with an older fading battery, a wireless microphone is best used with a fully functioning batter for obvious reasons.
Also, this is also why you should consider getting a wireless microphone that comes equipped with a battery charge indicator, so you won’t have to worry about it going dead on you in the middle of a speech or performance. When shopping for a wireless microphone system you will find that they come with a wide range of price tags as well as feature options, so you should consider what you plan on using your microphone for and weigh out all of your options before making your final selection.
For instance, if you plan on using yours for just speeches than you can most likely save some money by buying a cheaper VHF microphone which should work just fine. However; if your wireless microphone system is going to be getting used for music then a more expensive UHF microphone might be your best choice.
