Uhf Wireless Mic
April 12th, 2010What else do I need to set up a Wireless Mic?
Q: I have a Sennheiser Freeport Wireless Vocal Set (UHF Vocal Set fp 35-C-US) on the way. It comes with a microphone. transmitter and receiver. What else am I going to need so a Singer can “do her stuff”? Will I just need a speaker or something for the receiver to hook up to? I spent quite a lot on this so want to be sure I get everything else correct. Thanks for any input (and please keep the terminology simple as I really don’t know what I’m doing!)
OK, so I’ll need an amplifier (news to me – I was hoping what I was getting was all I’d need!!). Any recommendations on the kind of amplifer to get?
A: You’ll of course need a P.A. system of some kind. Run the proper cable from the output of the transmitter( probably an XLR cable, maybe a 1/4″) to an input on a P.A. system or other amplifier. The best thing to do is to go to your local music store and ask a professional. Good luck!
